A Night We'll Never Forget!

On Monday 12 October 2026, My Delhi made history at the prestigious Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards (ARTA), held at the Hilton on Park Lane in London.

The evening began with an incredible moment as My Delhi Newcastle was named Best Restaurant in the North East.

But the celebrations didn't end there.

Later that evening, as the regional winners from across the country gathered for the final announcement, My Delhi was crowned Champion of Champions, the highest honour of the night.

To receive both awards is something we're incredibly proud of, and a moment that will stay with us for a very long time.

Seven Years in the Making

Our journey began in Newcastle in 2019, with a simple ambition: to bring a taste of our Delhi to the North East and create an Indian dining experience that felt different.

We wanted the food to be exceptional, but we also wanted the hospitality, atmosphere and every little detail to be just as memorable.

Seven years later, My Delhi has grown beyond Newcastle, with restaurants in Sunderland and Leicester, and exciting plans for the future.

Throughout that journey, one thing has never changed: our commitment to giving every guest the best possible experience.

Winning Champion of Champions is a wonderful recognition of everything our team has worked towards.

This Award Belongs to Our People

Behind every great restaurant is a team of people who make it happen.

From our chefs and kitchen teams to the people welcoming guests, serving tables and working tirelessly behind the scenes, this achievement belongs to every single person who has contributed to My Delhi, past and present.

It's the long hours, the attention to detail, the sacrifices and the constant determination to do things a little better every day that have brought us here.

We're immensely proud of our entire My Delhi family.

And Most Importantly, Thank You!

None of this would have been possible without our customers.

Every visit, every recommendation, every review and every kind word has played a part in our journey.

You've supported us from our earliest days in Newcastle, welcomed us into new cities and helped turn My Delhi into the brand it is today.

To be able to bring this award home to the North East, where it all began, makes the achievement even more special.

From all of us at My Delhi, thank you for believing in us.

This one's for you. This one's for the North East!
